Oakland, Calif., January 06, 2009 – Ramsell Public Health Rx, a pharmacy benefit manager and information management company, announces a partnership with the City of Oakland’s Department of Human Services, Head Start Program to administer their Pharmacy Drug Discount Card for low-income families. The Pharmacy Drug Discount Card will be distributed by Oakland Head Start case managers later this month.
Children and families who utilize the Oakland Head Start Program will receive a Pharmacy Drug Discount card that offers immediate prescription discount benefits averaging 10% to 85% on both brand and generics. The drug discount program is free, requires no paperwork, and does not exclude those with pre-existing conditions, current health condition, age or insurance status.
